Indianapolis Bereavement Photography

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS): Nationwide organization that provides remembrance portraits to parents experiencing the death of a baby free of charge. They send a professional photographer to you at the hospital/the funeral home/etc. to capture your baby and/or your family together.

Find a NILMDTS photographer in your area by typing in your zip code in their Find a Photographer search.

You will be presented with the name and contact information for photographers in the area and (sometimes) an Area Dispatch contact number. If your area has an Area Dispatch person, you contact them, and they will contact all available photographers to find someone for you (if available). Phones are answered 7am – 10pm and messages are generally returned within two hours during that time.

Please note that while you can call to request services on someone else’s behalf, the family must sign a consent form prior to the photographer traveling to the hospital for the family to receive services. Consent forms are available in multiple languages as needed.

House of Hopes: House of Hopes captures stories of those battling cancer and life threatening illnesses, families grieving the loss of a loved one, and enduring other life changing struggles. Their Footprints gifted sessions are offered in-hospital. Fill out an application here. You can request Mandy Stewart if you like. She is a local Indianapolis photographer who volunteers with HOH.
